why is roblox dying? a couple months ago everyone was playing it but now it feels as if its being played less and less. the most likely reason roblox is dying is because brainrot games took over witch most people feel are not fun! there are also the safty risks, roblox is not known for their safe protacols thts because they don’t happen and at least 10 percent of there player base is predators. so those are really the main reasons that roblox’s player base is dropping and if they don’t do something soon then roblox will sadly die.

HOLES

Holes was written by louis sachar in 1998. It won the national book award for young literature in 1999 and also the Newbery medal in 1999 the author  has also written the Wayside School series, the Marvin Redpost series,  There’s a Boy in the Girls’ Bathroom, Small Steps, Fuzzy Mud, and The card turner. The author is 71 years old and lives in Texas with his wife Carla and his two dogs. They also had a kid together who moved out and is working as a zoo keeper.  

Holes is a book about Stanley Yelnats, a kid who was wrongly put on trial for stealing shoes he didn’t even steal. He had to choose between prison or a boy camp so naturally he chose the camp. His family had always been unlucky because his great grandfather was supposed to bring an old lady called madam zeroni up a mountain to drink the water but he didn’t so she put a curse on his family. The same great grandfather got really rich but was robbed in the same place as this camp. Stanley and the other boys have to dig a hole every day 5ft down and 5ft wide because the warden is trying to find where the person who robbed Stanley’s great grandfather’s money took it for themselves. He meets a boy called zero but zero eventually runs away from the camp and so does Stanley after a couple days of zero being gone. They meet up but zero is about to die so Stanley carries him up the mountain where they find water. And then suddenly Stanley’s luck changes because he broke the curse by bringing madame zeronis great grandson up the mountain to drink the water. When they go back to the camp they see that the warden had just found Stanley’s great grandfather’s money but that’s when Stanley’s lawyer comes and takes Stanley and Zero away with his great grandfather’s money.   

I really enjoyed holes. Because every detail about the story connected with each other at the end leaving the reader with a mind blowing ending that doesn’t disappoint in the slightest. The highlight of my read was realizing that the curse lifted because zero was Zeroni’s great grandson and Stanley carried him up the mountain. I would rate the book a 9/10 easily the best book I have ever read.   

today during our lunch block we did some science with some scientists that came from Otago University. What we learned was how to make lavander dye. First we pored some acidtone with some water and used a magent to mix the concoction. after mixing it we put it in heat and measured out 0.2 grames of the mixure. afterwards we added a subtute for manure with the 0.2 grames of the mixure and mixed it some more, after that we put some bundled cloth in it and ta da indgo tie dye!

today in the morning we had a volleyball game against ngaio class. And I even managed to get a couple good hits in. But halfway through the game me, eko, hunter, and molly had to bring the spades up to the planting area! So instead of playing volleyball we had to heave shovels up a massive hill. I guess you win some and you lose some.

today at school  because eko won the photograph competition we had a paralympian swimmer come to our school! Her name is Tupou Neifui and she told us about her life. After the assembly, eko and Tupou Nefifui planted a tree togther. then therest of us had to start planting. It  was really hot and the ground was hard. we stopped planting at lunch which I was pretty happy about.

Eko and Tupou Neifui planted a plant together and the rest of the kauri class also started planting plants.  We continued planting until lunch.

I come from a place where the jagged mountains remind me of the ups and downs of life. Where the silence is only broken by the munch of a cow grazing or the westerlies blowing away. Where it’s surrounded by lush grass and the closest neighbours being a while away. 

I come from a place that’s either cold or warm but perfect inside. Where my cozy bed is impossible to get out of. Where my sisters are always fighting and the kitchen is full of beautiful smells. I come from a place where it feels as if the grass is pulling me in place, grounding me. The place I come from lifts the bearings of life for me and makes me feel relaxed.

this term we have been doing a sport every Thursday. The sport is volleyball! Some people in my class are really good at it like hokianga and kodin while others like eco and moss not so much. Im alright at volleyball. Although leaning toward bad since I don’t play volleyball apart from when our whole class plays. In volley ball you have to hit a ball over a net and the ball has to hit the other teams side ground to score a point. you can only hit the ball once and a side can only hit it three times before having to get it to the other team.

for speeches this year I made mine about why grow a garden should make a trading system. As of today [19 Sept 2025] grow a garden made a trading system. And its all because of me! [not really] my speech was 4 minutes long and I thought it was pretty good. The judges must of agreed because I got put in the next round witch was happning on Thursday and it was Monday!  but then tragedy struck and I got sick. maybe I will win next year ]:

a couple days ago for art/writing my class made comics! Mine was about 3 people fighting over a potato. After making my amazing comic my teacher said we also had to make one on Canva! My canva one was wayyy worse then my hand drawn comic but it was still alright… Here is a picture of my hand drawn comic:
